Heal Your Mind, Spirit, and Soul With CPG
What to Expect From Our Psychiatric Services
CPG provides a full spectrum of psychiatric services for seniors, adults, children, and teens. Our goal is to provide treatment that not only helps you get better from your condition but also maintains and improves long-term mental wellness.
Psychiatric Evaluation
A complete clinical evaluation helps our health professionals understand your symptoms. It allows our clinicians to create a personalized recovery plan.
Medication Management
Our providers carefully prescribe and monitor medications, and manage ongoing prescriptions for conditions such as OCD, addiction, with substance use, bipolar disorder, and more. We offer in-clinic & HIPAA-secure online medication management.
Therapy & Counseling
We provide evidence-based therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mental health counseling, for more effective outcomes. This holistic approach improves emotional regulation and delivers maximum outcomes.
Urgent Psychiatric Support
Our urgent psychiatric support helps patients with urgent but non-life-threatening mental health concerns. CPG provides short-term safety planning and prescription bridging when appropriate.
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Our family psychiatry services focus on helping children and teens navigate behavioral, emotional, or developmental issues for normal functioning at home, school, and with peers.
Chronic & Acute Psychiatric Care
We provide treatment to manage long-term chronic mental health conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar, postpartum, post-traumatic stress disorder, and major depressive & anxiety disorders.

You Don't Have To Carry It Alone, We're Here To Help Now
Not everything you carry is visible, but it still weighs on you. You don’t have to wait for the “right” time to seek help. Whether it’s anxiety that keeps you up all night, moods that shift without warning, or intrusive thoughts that feel too loud, we have got you. Our psychiatrists and psychologists listen, guide, diagnose, and adjust care to your needs.
Across New Jersey, support is near, in-clinic or online, and always within reach with CPG. Most people who finally book tell us the same thing afterward: they wish they had done it sooner. One call to 609-323-5252 is all it takes to find out what is actually going on and what can be done about it, and we will verify your insurance while you are on the phone.
Areas We Serve
We accept major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum. Because benefits vary by plan and by employer, our team verifies your specific coverage and copays before your visit.
With insurance, most patients pay only their plan's specialist copay, and many plans cover behavioral health at the same level as other medical visits. If you are uninsured or paying out of pocket, call 609-323-5252 and our team will quote you the self-pay rate for an evaluation and follow-up visits up front, so there are no surprises.
In most cases, no. You can book directly with CPG. Some HMO plans do require a referral from your primary care provider before a specialist visit, and our staff checks that during insurance verification so nothing is denied afterward.
Yes. No matter where you are, our team provides psychiatric services across New Jersey. We deliver in-person care at our clinics and treat patients statewide via online psychiatry services.
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose conditions and prescribe medication. A psychologist holds a doctoral degree and provides psychological testing and therapy but does not prescribe in most cases. A licensed therapist or counselor provides talk therapy. CPG offers all three under one practice, so you are not left assembling your own care team.
Your board-certified psychiatrists will review your symptoms, medical/mental health history, and lifestyle. DSM-5 criteria are used to identify underlying conditions and clinical evaluation. After diagnosis, a personalized treatment plan is developed according to the condition and the severity of its symptoms. A first evaluation typically runs longer than a follow-up visit, because getting the diagnosis right matters more than getting it fast.
Not automatically. Medication is one option among several, and some patients do well with therapy alone or a combination approach. If medication is recommended, your provider will explain why, what the expected benefits and side effects are, and what the first few weeks should feel like, then follow up to adjust anything that is not working.
Yes. Many patients see us for evaluation and medication management while continuing therapy elsewhere. With your permission, we coordinate with your existing therapist so both sides of your treatment are working from the same plan rather than in isolation.
Under current federal rules, DEA-registered providers may prescribe Schedule II medications, including ADHD stimulants, following a real-time video telehealth visit without a prior in-person exam. Audio-only visits do not qualify, and the provider must be licensed in your state. These flexibilities run through December 31, 2026 and may change, so your provider will confirm what applies at the time of your appointment.
If you are in immediate danger or having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, call 911, or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at any hour. For urgent but non-life-threatening concerns, CPG offers walk-in and same-day appointments, short-term safety planning, and prescription bridging when appropriate.
We provide treatment for a wide range of mental health issues, including chronic conditions. Some of them include depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral conditions. Both adult and adolescent psychiatric treatments are available.
