Mental Health Care in New Jersey That Makes You Feel Heard
Most patients across New Jersey can be seen within 24 hours, rather than waiting the weeks that first psychiatric appointments usually take. Remember, one conversation is all it takes to find out what is happening and what can be done about it.
Who We Are
Convenient and Affordable Mental Health Clinics
We treat patients of all ages, including teens, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Our multidisciplinary team combines clinical expertise with empathy to deliver trusted mental health services. We help patients recover and improve symptoms and find their lost balance.
Because psychiatry, psychology, and therapy all sit within one practice, your prescriber and your therapist work from the same record instead of guessing at each other’s plan. That coordination is what keeps treatment moving forward rather than restarting at every appointment.
- Multidisciplinary team of licensed professionals
- Confidential and HIPAA-compliant services
- Treatment for all stages of development
- Safe electronic records and telehealth access

Professional Outpatient Mental Health Services
Psychiatric Services
The certified psychiatrists of CPG evaluate, diagnose, and help manage & treat the symptoms of PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and many other psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.
Psychological Services
Licensed psychologists of CPG help people identify, manage, and treat emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Our clinical mental health counseling and structured talk therapies include CBT, DBT, ERP, IPT, and more.
Behavioral Health Services
Our behavioral health professionals help children, teens, and adults manage stress, thoughts, and emotional responses. We provide therapy (like CBT, IPT, MI, DBT, MBCT, and more) and medication management.
Fast & Secure Mental Health Treatment
Comprehensive Treatment With Therapy Counseling & Medication
To make care accessible, we provide outpatient mental health services. Connect to therapists and psychiatrists virtually through HIPAA-compliant telehealth and via outpatient care in clinics.
Access is the barrier that keeps most people from starting, whether that means a long wait, a difficult commute, or a schedule that leaves no room. We built our appointment options around removing it rather than asking patients to work around us.
Same-Day Appointments
Our walk-in mental health clinics deliver mental/behavioral health outpatient services within a day.
All Insurances Accepted
We accept all major insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid plans.
Telepsychiatry Across New Jersey
With telehealth mental health care, you get expert treatment for a wide range of mental illnesses and disorders from the comfort of your home.
Mental Health Conditions We Treat
The outpatient mental health services of CPG include teletherapy, telepsychiatry, and medication management. We help manage and treat a wide range of conditions and disorders.
Accurate diagnosis is where good treatment begins, since conditions like bipolar disorder and ADHD are frequently mistaken for depression or anxiety alone, which changes the right course entirely. Our evaluations follow DSM-5 criteria supported by validated screening measures rather than a first impression.

Our Mental Health Clinics in New Jersey
We see patients at six outpatient clinics across New Jersey, and telepsychiatry covers the entire state for anyone who cannot easily travel to an office. Together these offices cover Mercer, Essex, Middlesex, and Burlington counties and the communities around them. Your records follow you between locations, so switching offices or alternating between in-clinic and video visits never restarts your treatment.

Latest Insights & Mental Wellness Resources

We Work With All Insurance Companies
Behavioral health benefits often differ from medical benefits and vary by plan and by employer. Our team verifies your specific coverage and copay before your first visit rather than leaving you to discover it at the desk, and self-pay rates are available if you prefer to keep insurance out of your treatment entirely.

Jerry from the billing department, is always helpful and so kindPosted on Google esther fitzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For 1 solid year, I tried to get an insurance card with my doctor's name to change him to my primary care doctor. I called wellcare, they said they will take care of it. I then waited 15 days to receive the mail. When I finally got the mail, it had the wrong doctor as my primary care on the card. I called wellcare again, found out it wasn't changed. They said they were sorry and said they would change it. The same outcome repeated, another card with the wrong doctor. After going to the doctor for an appointment, the receptionist told me I had to change my doctor's name with wellcare or the next time I came to this doctor I would have to pay. I then called wellcare for the third time, they apologized and said they would change it once again. They then sent another card with again the wrong doctor. I then called Jerry, he said he would take care of everything. Jerry, along with myself called wellcare and took care of everything and got it fixed. Finally, after 1 year and 3 tries, the problem was solved, thanks to Jerry, what an amazing job! I appreciate him for fixing this issue. He is the best! It wouldn't have been solved without him. Thank you again!Posted on Google Ifat CheemaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with Capital Psychiatry, especially with Jerry from billing. He was extremely helpful, patient, and made the billing process smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to encounter someone so attentive and professional, and his assistance really stood out. Highly recommend their services!Posted on Google Beba MarieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very understandable and very helpful. Thank you Jerry
Anxiety and panic, depression, ADHD, OCD, ODD, PTSD and trauma, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and substance use, including cases where several occur together. We also see patients whose difficulties carry no clean label, such as grief, burnout, and persistent sleep problems. Those are legitimate reasons to seek care.
Our team confirms your insurance and copay before the visit, then matches you with a clinician. Your first appointment is an evaluation, and you leave knowing what was found, what is recommended, and when you will be seen again. Prescriptions go to your pharmacy the same day, and follow-up is scheduled before you go.
We see patients at six outpatient clinics: Hamilton Township, Newark, Robbinsville, South Plainfield, Delran, and Cinnaminson, covering Mercer, Essex, Middlesex, and Burlington counties. Telepsychiatry covers the whole state, including areas where no clinic sits nearby, so distance is rarely the barrier people assume it to be.
For most patients, yes, from booking through evaluation, therapy, and prescriptions sent electronically to your pharmacy. Some situations still need an exam room, including certain controlled medications and cases with safety concerns. Your clinician will say so directly rather than stretching a virtual visit past what it can do well.
Yes. Our providers page lists every clinician with their credentials and focus areas, and you can request someone specific when you call. If the fit turns out to be wrong after a few appointments, tell us and we will rematch you without any awkwardness.
Yes, and refills happen through short scheduled follow-ups rather than automatically, because doses and side effects deserve a conversation rather than a silent renewal. Most follow-ups can be done by telehealth. If a prescription is close to running out and you have no appointment booked, call us promptly about bridging options.
Before your first appointment, not after. We verify your specific benefits, copay, and deductible during the booking call, since behavioral health coverage varies by plan and employer. Self-pay rates are quoted up front if you are uninsured or prefer to keep insurance out of your treatment.
Yes, across every service line. For teens, we balance the privacy that makes them willing to talk with the information parents need to support the plan at home. For older adults, care covers grief, isolation, memory concerns, and how psychiatric medications interact with everything else being taken.
Your care is protected under HIPAA and state privacy law. Nothing is released to your employer, licensing board, or family without your written authorization, aside from narrow legal exceptions involving imminent risk of serious harm. Self-pay removes insurance from the process entirely if that matters to you.
Yes. Tell us at booking and we send the records release request for you. Bring what you have, including previous diagnoses and medications you have tried. If you have been out of treatment for years with no records at all, that is a normal starting point.
Yes. Primary care providers, pediatricians, therapists, hospitals, and schools refer to us regularly, and our referral portal lets professionals send patients directly. With consent, we coordinate with the referring provider so treatment stays connected rather than parallel.
If you are in immediate danger or having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911. For urgent situations that are not life-threatening, such as a medication reaction or a prescription running out, call 609-323-5252 and we will find the fastest safe option.
